CEYLON — Area churches are scheduling mid-week Lenten services this Wednesday. Circle of Faith congregations are invited to meet 6:30 p.m. Wednesdays during Lent at Trinity Lutheran Church in Welcome. Because of COVID protocol there will be no fellowship meal

at any of the Lenten services. The services will be live streamed on the Circle of Faith or Trinity First Facebook pages.

Lenten mid-week services this week will be 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Wilbert for the dual congregations of Our Savior’s (Ceylon) and Wilbert at 6:30 p.m. Next week they will be at Ceylon. They will not have a cooperative lunch because of COVID protocol.

Condolences to the family of Duane Wickert, former resident of Ceylon, who passed away. He will be missed.

Got a Facebook post from a friend that said spring is about 30 days away. I sure hope so. The month of March could bring almost anything. We really haven’t had a bad winter so far compared to some we’ve had. Ah, the Minnesota mantra “It could be worse.”
