Woman faces felony charges

FAIRMONT — A Fairmont woman is facing felony charges in Martin County. Debra Darlene Jensen, 59, has been charged with three counts of drug possession in the fifth degree. Each charge carries a maximum penalty of five years in prison and a $10,000 fine.

According to the complaint:

At approximately 8:37 a.m. on December 16, 2020, Fairmont Police officers executed a search warrant at Jensen’s residence in the 100 block of Cedarwood Street in Fairmont. During the execution of the warrant, officers searched Jensen’s purse.

In the purse, officers discovered approximately eight grams of meth, a plastic baggie containing meth residue, a plastic baggie containing pills determined to be Xanax, a package containing psilocybin mushrooms, a meth pipe, and over $2,000 in United States currency. Xanax is a Schedule IV controlled substance. Psilocybin is a Schedule I controlled substance.

In the remainder of the house, officers discovered other paraphernalia containing meth residue and additional Xanax pills.
