Register for Zoom meeting

TRUMAN — It’s time to register for the Strategic Farming: Let’s talk crops program. Sessions will be held over Zoom, which can be accessed via your computer, phone or other mobile device. These sessions will run from 8:30-9 a.m. every Wednesday and are very informal, discussing key issues and questions facing Minnesota corn and soybean farmers today. For more details on each session and to register, go to, https://z.umn.edu/strategic-farming. You need only register once for the whole program series. Not able to attend a day? No problem. Sessions will be recorded and posted for viewing later at your convenience. If you are not familiar with Zoom, details will be included at registration on how to access the session your computer (all you need is the link) or mobile device. These programs are being offered at no charge, thanks to support from the Minnesota Soybean Research and Promotion Council and the Minnesota Corn Research and Promotion Council.

Fairmont Community Education and Recreation and CREST have joined forces on the production of a free, monthly senior citizen newsletter called “Keep in Touch.” The program will be a one-page, front and back, newsletter. It’s something with suggestions for staying active. It might include mind teasers, word searches, simple recipes, healthy living tips, or a suggested video to watch. If someone wants to be included on the mailing list, contact either the CER office at (507) 235-3141 or the CREST office at (507) 235-3833.
