WELCOME — Welcome City Council met via zoom on Tuesday. They discussed some projects for city employee, Max Longley, to consider. One was rewiring the shop, and Max brought up the tank at the septic sight. Discussion about the solids not being able to be removed brought up talk about a new tank versus an agitator to mix the solids with water, thereby helping remove them.

Max will look into the cost of an agitator and report to the council at the next meeting.

Property taxes not paid on property that was deeded to the city were brought up. The City Clerk will look into chances that those would be waived in that case.

A report about the two four-plexes being built in the southwest corner of town was presented by council member Anderson. The first four-plex is almost done, with only a few last-minute jobs to be finished. The second four-plex is scheduled to be done in January 2021.

The construction company has taken care of some small glitches and is well on its way to completion.

The next meeting will be held on January 5, 2021.
