Truman Toys for Tots underway

TRUMAN — Truman Lions Club burger bash has been canceled due to the rising numbers of COVID-19 cases.

An American Red Cross blood drive will be held noon to 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Truman Community Building in Truman. To make an appointment, please call Yvonne at (507) 776-8555, 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767), or go online to redcrossblood.org. Everyone is encouraged to donate blood to keep up the with the demand for all types of blood. There is no waiting period to give blood after receiving a flu shot as long as you are symptom-free and fever free.

It’s time to route your sump pump hose inside into your basement drain.

It’s Truman time on KNUJ AM radio from New Ulm at 3:15 p.m. Monday. Mayor Lynn Brownlee will give us an update about Truman.

Happy birthday to Lois Camelin who is turning 93 years old on Saturday. Birthday wishes can be sent to Lois at 410 E. 2nd St. N., Truman, MN 56088.

Saint Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church will hold a Thanksgiving Day worship service at 9 a.m.

Join the Truman Toys for Tots program in helping needy children. Donate an unwrapped new gift to Profinium or Elizabeth Chevrolet. They are both collecting toys for underprivileged children in our community. If anyone would like to be included on this year’s receiving list, or knows anyone who should be included on the list, please contact Candace Shahan at (507) 236-6988. Please drop off your gift or monetary donation at either location by noon Dec. 15, so they can make sure it gets delivered on time. And don’t forget that older kids need gifts too.
