Welcome ready to clean up

WELCOME — There will be a cleanup day in Welcome from 8-10 a.m. Saturday (or until the truck is full). The truck will be behind the fire hall on Campbell Street.

Be prepared to show proof of residency since this truck is for Welcome residents only.

No appliances this time.

Thank you to those Welcome folks who helped the stranded motorist on I-90 repack their things into a U-Haul truck when their trailer broke. Now that’s Welcome Nice.

Remember the Pheasants for Vets fundraiser at the Welcome Legion runs until Nov. 6. Stop and “buy a bird” to help feed the veterans at a Veterans Day dinner in VA hospitals and nursing homes.

A Red Cross blood drive will be held 1-6 p.m. Nov. 9 at Assembly of God Regional Worship Center in Sherburn.

There will be no walk-ins because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Make an appointment now, by calling (800) 733-2767), go online to www.redcrossblood.org or text BlOOD APP to 90999.

Do Rapid Pass on the day of the donation to speed up the registration process.

Welcome City Hall will be open for voting Nov. 3 in Welcome for those who live in the city. Mail-in voting is also available.
