CEYLON -- Members of the dual congregations of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Ceylon and St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Wilbert are reminded that in-person worship services tonight and Sunday are canceled due to COVID-19 concerns. The church councils will meet and re-evaluate concerning return to in-person worship for the next worship dates in October.
There will be a meet-and-greet of the city council candidates for Ceylon from 1-3 p.m. Sunday at the digital sign location on the corner of Railroad and Main Streets. Get to know the candidates for the council seats. They are Amanda Duers, Jody Scott, A.J. Kronback, Armand Kronback, and Judith Perkins. Meet the candidates for mayor, Scott Smith, and John Gibeau. It will be outside but social distancing will be observed and face coverings are required. This would be a good time to make some suggestions or ask questions from any of the city candidates. The election will be held on Nov. 3.
