CEYLON -- There are Red Cross blood drives scheduled in September.
One of them will be held 1-6 p.m. Sept. 17 in the back room at Legends II in Ceylon.
A blood drive also is scheduled Sept. 8-10 at the Fairmont Holiday Inn.
With all the chaos, storms and pandemics, blood is needed more and more. If you are able, please donate. Appointments are necessary to arrange social distancing, so for more information or to make an appointment, call (800) 733-2767, go online to www.redcrossblood.org or text BLOOD APP at 90999.
Using a Rapid Pass the day of donation will help shorten the time at the reception area.
Every body has 10 pints of blood and a donation only takes 1 pint.
Every two seconds, someone in the United States needs blood and more than 41,000 blood donations are needed every day.
