WELCOME — Filing for candidacy for city offices in Welcome is due by Tuesday.

The position of mayor is up for election and is for a two-year term, while two City Council positions are for four-year terms.

Construction for the four-plexes is going well. The city has started the process of issuing bonds to finance the construction. Renters are already applying for residency. This is a nice sign of growth in Welcome.
