CEYLON — Well, it has turned to August and hopefully things will be looking up this month. Time flies when you are staying home most of the time. Stay safe everyone.

The Federated REA drive-through meetings will be 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at Martin County Fairgrounds in Fairmont, and from 4:30-6:30 p.m. at the Jackson County Fairgrounds in Jackson.

Members have received a notice through the REA Connections newsletter.

Congratulations to Roger Fritz, a rural Ceylon resident, who celebrated his 80th birthday July 30. Cards will reach him at 1566 50th St., Ceylon, MN 56121.

St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Wilbert will have services at a different time Sunday to accommodate a visiting pastor. The time for Sunday service will be 10:30 a.m. They will follow social distancing protocols for protection of the congregation.

Lutheran Women’s Missionary League at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Wilbert will meet 1:30 p.m. Aug. 13, and will also follow social distancing protocols. All members are encouraged to attend.

Other area churches are proceeding with in-person worship using social distancing and masks protocol.

Our Savior’s Lutheran Church will have a 5:30 p.m. service tonight, while St. Peter Lutheran in Ceylon will hold its Sunday service at 8:30 a.m.
