FAIRMONT — Tom Hawkins of 526 Kings Road filed on Thursday to retain his at-large seat on the Fairmont City Council.

He joins the two other incumbents — Ruth Cyphers in Ward 2 and Wayne Hasek in Ward 4 –who filed earlier this week.

Hawkins and Hasek each have one challenger thus far. Jay Maynard is seeking the at-large position, which represents the entire city, while Terry Anderson is running in Ward 4.

At this point, Cyphers is running unopposed.

Filings are open until Aug. 11.

Filing for City Council must be completed at the city clerk’s office on the second floor of City Hall.
