Ruby’s Pantry coming to Sherburn

SHERBURN — Ruby’s Pantry will be in Sherburn from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Monday.

Food will be distributed in the Martin County West High School parking lot. There is a $20 charge for a large amount of food, and there are no residency or income restrictions.

You will not have to leave your vehicle to pick up the food. It will be loaded into the trunk of your car or the back of your pickup.

The Exit 87 Truck Wash in Sherburn is officially open for business. They wash livestock trucks and exteriors of semis, buses, RVs, etc. Congratulations to the newest business in Sherburn.

Regional Worship Center in Sherburn is holding community breakfasts from 8-10 a.m. Monday mornings at the church located at 2 Crossroads Drive in Sherburn. Donations accepted for the meal, and everyone is welcome to attend.

Thad Tumbleson will be holding his “Coach T Football Camp” for kindergarten through eighth-graders from July 27-31 on the north side of the Martin County West Elementary School in Sherburn.

The deadline to register for the camp is July 22. For more information or to register your child, call MCW Community Education at (507) 764-2336.

St. John’s Lutheran Church in Sherburn reminds everyone that it will have an evening worship service 6:30 p.m. Monday.

The church plans to have evening services on the second and fourth Mondays of each month throughout the summer. Everyone is welcome to attend.

They also want to remind anyone uncomfortable returning to church but who would like a pastoral visit or at-home communion to call Kathy at the church at (507) 764-5312 or email her at church@sjlsherburn.com and arrangements will be made for you.

Martin County West Schools reminds parents that it will enforce the Minnesota School Immunization Law when school begins again.

They ask that you take the time now to get your child ready for the 2020-2021 school year. It is the parents’ job to submit immunization dates to the school nurse. Student immunization forms are available at: https://www.health.state.mn.us/people/immunize/basics/imzform.pdf or visit the MDH website for more information.

Because of limitations brought on by COVID-19, parents are advised to call their medical provider to schedule well-child check-ups and immunizations as soon as possible.
