Ceylon Community Day set for July

CEYLON — Circle of Faith parishes will resume in-person worship services on July 5, while following social distancing protocols outlined in a letter sent to the parishioners.

Services will be held at 8:30 a.m. at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Ceylon and Waverly Lutheran Church, north of Welcome.

Trinity Lutheran Church in Welcome will host its services at 10:30 a.m. This Sunday’s service will be offered via video, as before.

Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Ceylon has a 5:30 p.m. service tonight while St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Wilbert will hold services at 9:30 a.m. Sunday. Both churches will follow social distancing protocols.

There will be a Red Cross blood drive from noon to 6 p.m. July 7 at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Welcome. Also, a blood drive will be held 1-6 p.m. July 15 in Ceylon at Legends II.

Appointments must be made in order to make arrangements for social distancing and extra sanitizing. Masks are needed to protect the donor and the staff.

Using the Rapid Pass helps to lessen the time at the drive location. To make an appointment or for more information, call (800) 733-2767, go online to www.redcrossblood.org or text BLOODAPP to 90999.

As of this writing, the Welcome Festival is planned for July 17-19.

n

Ceylon Community Day Auction is planned for July 25. Social distancing protocols should be observed.

If there is sufficient interest, there will be a map of garage sales for that day. If anyone wants to have a garage sale on the map, contact Linda Bakke at (507) 632-4509 as soon as possible.
