Group spruces up Truman

TRUMAN — Volunteers are needed to weed the mini golf course in Truman. You can weed any time it is open.

Also, if you have perennials to share, you can drop them off on the east side, then call the number posted so they can plant them, or you can plant them yourself.

Truman antique tractor ride will be held July 24. Line up begins at 7:20 a.m. at the Prairieland facility, 801 E. Fifth St. North. The tractors will leave at 8 a.m. and return to Graf Park for a noon lunch for all participants. If you have any questions, please call Jim at (507) 236-1655 or Jerry at (507)-236-8218.

Truman City Council will meet Monday. If you have any ideas, concerns or questions, phone City Hall at (507) 776-7951 and talk to Thea or Sherry to get put on the agenda.

Recycling day is Wednesday. Place recycling containers curbside by 7 a.m. with the front of containers facing the street.

The spruce up Truman group is busy painting and making things looking attractive around town. A helping hand is always welcome and appreciated. Monetary donations for paint can be left at City Hall or mailed to City of Truman, P.O. Box 398, Truman, MN 56088.
