WELCOME — There will be a cribbage tournament beginning 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Legends II in Ceylon.

The tournament will be in Welcome at 1:30 p.m. March 21 at the Legion.

March is the last month for this tournament until November. Hey, another sign of spring.

Welcome Fire Department Relief Association fundraiser dance will be 6:30 p.m. to midnight Saturday at the Welcome Legion.

The entertainment will be Steve Lang and Bob Petrowiak’s country show.

If you cannot attend the dance, donations to Welcome Fire Department Relief Association may be sent to Box 373, Welcome, MN 56181.

Martin County West School Board will meet 5 p.m. Monday at the Welcome School. There will be a tour of the school at 6:15 p.m. to check on needed repairs.

Welcome City Council will meet 6 p.m. Tuesday at City Hall.

There is always a time for public comments and questions at the beginning of each meeting.

Wednesday will continue mid-week Lenten services at area churches.

Circle of Faith parishes will meet for a meal at 5:30 p.m., with the service at 6:30 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Welcome.

St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Welcome will meet for a Lenten Bible study at 6 p.m.

All area residents are invited to join these congregations for services.
