CEYLON — Several annual church meetings are scheduled Sunday. A storm is also forecast so keep an eye on the weather and news of cancellations for these meetings.

St. Paul’s Lutheran in Wilbert’s meeting is scheduled after the 9:30 a.m. service.

St. Peter Lutheran in Ceylon’s meeting is scheduled after their 8:30 a.m. service.

Trinity in Welcome has a meeting scheduled after their 10:30 a.m. service, while the other Circle of Faith parish in Waverly Lutheran Church has scheduled its annual meeting for 7 p.m. Sunday.

Ceylon Fire Department has postponed the pancake brunch originally scheduled for Sunday to Jan. 26.

They will be serve from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Legends II in Ceylon. The menu includes pancakes, French toast, scrambled eggs, ham, sausage, juice and coffee for a donation.

Condolences to the family of long-time Ceylon resident Janice Hiebert, who passed away. She and her husband were influential Ceylon residents through the co-op and the school and the Legion and auxiliary.
