Free family swim slated in Sherburn
SHERBURN — Grilled burgers with all the fixings will be served 6-8 p.m. tonight at the Sherburn American Legion. Everyone is welcome.
There is a free family swim from 10:30-11:30 a.m. Saturday at the indoor pool in Sherburn. All families are welcome to attend but children must be accompanied by an adult. Please bring your own water toys to use in the pool.
A sign and porch sign “chalking class” will be held 2 p.m. Saturday at the First Congregational Church in Sherburn. Pre-registration is required by calling (507) 848-0784.
Sherburn American Legion Auxiliary will serve a pancake breakfast from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Sunday at the Legion. On the menu will be pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage, juice, milk and coffee.
Sherburn Lions Club will assist with the preparations.
There will be a free will offering. Proceeds will go towards Legion Auxiliary projects.
Everyone is welcome.
Ruby’s Pantry will distribute food from 6-7:30 p.m. Monday evening at the Regional Worship Center (across from Kum & Go) in Sherburn. Doors open at 5 p.m. Remember to bring two large totes, laundry baskets or boxes for your food. The cost is $20. There are no income or residency requirements for this distribution.
There will not be school for any of the Martin County West schools Monday due to a teacher workshop day.
The indoor pool in Sherburn is available for private rental for birthday parties, church or youth groups, or any small or large group. The cost starts at $50. There is also open swimming at the pool from 1-4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Tickets are $4 for adults, $3 for students, while preschoolers swim free.
If you’re looking for some indoor exercise during these cold winter months, there is hall walking before and after school hours at all Martin County West schools.
Men’s night is 7 p.m. Wednesdays at the high school gym in Sherburn, and open gym time is 2 p.m. Sunday afternoons at the high school gym.
