CEYLON — There will be a cribbage tournament at 1:30 p.m. today at Legends II in Ceylon. The public is welcome and encouraged to have a fun afternoon. Next Saturday, the cribbage will be played at the same time at the Welcome Legion.

Legion and Sons of the Legion groups will meet 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Legends II building in Ceylon. All members are urged to attend.

Ceylon City Council will meet 6 p.m. Tuesday at City Hall. All members are urged to attend. There is always a time at the beginning of the meeting for public comments and questions.

Tuesday is also the deadline date to file affidavits of candidacy for township offices.

Lake Belt Township should contact Jeff Hagen.

Tenhassen Township should contact Larry Simpson.

Manyaska Township should contact Diane Glidden.

Silver Lake Township should contact Randy Musser.

Lake Belt and Tenhassen townships will need one supervisor for a three-year term, one clerk for a two-year term and one treasurer for a one-year term. Manyaska needs a supervisor for a three-year term. Silver Lake needs a supervisor for a three-year term and a clerk for a two-year term.

File by 5 p.m. Tuesday.

Township elections will be March 10.
