Cookie walk coming up

TRUMAN — Truman City Council meets 5:30 p.m. Monday at City Hall. The truth-in-taxation meeting begins at 6 p.m.

Truman Pride will meet 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Truman High School media center. Come join and help support the students and school.

Prairie Ecology Bus Center is offering a class to help people make homemade wrapping paper. It is open to people of all ages Cost is $5.

The class will be 3:15-4:15 p.m. Dec. 10, with registration due to Courtney or Chelsey by Tuesday.

Wednesday is recycling day. Place recycling containers curbside by 7 a.m.

Truman Museum will host a Christmas open house from 1-4 p.m. Dec. 6. Hot cocoa, coffee and Christmas goodies will be available.

At 4 p.m. there will be a drawing for new members joining in 2019. The winner will receive a garden flag. There is still time to join. Need not be present to win.

The annual cookie walk will be 8-10 a.m. Dec. 7 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Truman. Choose from a selection of fancy holiday cookies, caramels, candies, Kringle, party mix, etc., then pay for items by the pound. Containers will be provided.

The holiday craft vendor fair and bake sale will be 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dec. 7 at the Truman Community Building. There will be 25 vendors. Lunch will be available.

— Beef commercial meal with craft and bake sale from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Dec. 8 at St. John’s Lutheran Church of Antrim, rural Truman.

— Truman Elementary School Christmas concert at 7 p.m. Dec. 9.

— Truman Active Living meets 10 a.m. Dec. 9 at the Truman Museum.

— Santa’s shopping spree for children grades K-6 who are students at the Truman public or parochial school from 3:30-5 p.m. Dec. 10 at the Truman Community Building.

— Christmas craft fun registration for grades K-5 is due to Truman Community Ed on Dec. 12. Cost is $5.

— Truman High School Band and choir Christmas performance 7 p.m. on Dec. 16.
