CEYLON — Thursday will be Thanksgiving Day. Area churches have scheduled services for the day before.

St. Peter Lutheran Church in Ceylon will have a joint service for all the Circle of Faith congregations 6:30 p.m. Wednesday. Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Ceylon will have a 7 p.m. Wednesday evening service.

Also on Thanksgiving Day, St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Wilbert will have a 9:30 a.m. service.

Area residents are invited to join these congregations.

Ceylon Area First non-profit will have a special full Thanksgiving meal at the Ceylon Fitness Center (the former city hall across from the post office). Area residents unable to make a Thanksgiving meal or having no family to share a meal, or who would just like to join in a community meal are invited.

Please make reservations by contacting John Gibeau at (507) 399-4634 or going to Facebook @CEYLON-AREAFIRST. Reserving is important so they can meet the needs of those coming to dine.

Anyone willing to help or donate food or money also would be appreciated. They envision people coming and going, and would be happy to see everyone who needs a meal or fellowship to come and enjoy the day.
