Halloween fun set in Welcome
WELCOME — Welcome City Council meeting was postponed from this past week until 6 p.m. Oct. 22 at City Hall. All members are encouraged to attend. There is always a time for public comments before the meeting.

There is room for more participants in the trunk-or-treat Halloween opportunity for area children. To sign up for passing out treats from your trunk on Halloween, contact Megan Gerhardt. This special Halloween activity is planned 5:15-6:15 p.m. Oct. 31 on North Dugan Street in Welcome.
There will also be a Halloween party from 5:15-6:45 p.m. at the Welcome Legion Hall, with games, food and crafts.
Upcoming events include a turkey dinner Nov. 3 at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Welcome.
Harvesting is trying to get into full swing and when it does, please be careful on the tractors and combines and bins and on the road following slow-moving vehicles. Have a safe harvest.
