WELCOME — Area churches will have Rally Day on Sunday for their Sunday School programs.

Waverly Lutheran north of Welcome, Trinity Lutheran in Welcome and St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Welcome will have Rally Day for Sunday school programs at 9:15 a.m.

Church service times for Waverly and Trinity are 10:30 a.m. and St. Paul’s service is at 10 a.m.

Waverly Lutheran has a Harvest Homecoming special service and dinner with activities on Sept. 15, when Gloria Dei congregation members from St. Paul are invited to the Welcome area to celebrate farm life. Plan to attend the special event.

Welcome Legion will meet 7:30 p.m. Monday at the Legion. All members are urged to attend.

Tuesday coffee hours for the month of September continue from 8:30-10 a.m. at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Welcome. Join friends and neighbors for great coffee, treats and good fellowship.

Red Cross blood drives in the area are scheduled for Sept. 10-12 at the Fairmont Holiday Inn, Sept. 16 at St. Vianney Church in Fairmont, Sept. 18 at Cutting Edge Fitness in Fairmont and Sept. 19 in Ceylon.

St. Paul’s UCC Church in Welcome will have a blood drive on Oct. 1.
