Welcome street work continues
WELCOME — Wow. It’s nearly the end of August already.
Congratulations to all the participants in the Martin County Fair who won trips to the Minnesota State Fair. Good luck.
The last of the 6:30 p.m. Wednesday evening services for the Circle of Faith parishes will be this week at Waverly Lutheran Church north of Welcome.
The other congregations of the Circle of Faith will have 8:30 a.m. Sunday services and St. Paul’s United Church of Christ will have Sunday services at 9 a.m.
Beginning Sept. 1, the churches will go back to their usual service times, where St. Peter in Ceylon will be 8:30 a.m., St. Paul’s at 10 a.m., with Waverly and Trinity in Welcome at 10:30 a.m.
Tuesday coffee hours for August will be one more week from 8:30-10 a.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Sherburn.
In September, the Tuesday coffee hours will be held 8:30-10 a.m. at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Welcome.
Join them for good brew and fellowship.
Tuesday coffee hours will continue for the year through October.
Progress on the street construction project continues with hopes of asphalt on streets that have curbs if the streets are firm enough.
Keep being Welcome kind and patient. It will be nice when it is done. The utilities are already better.
Good job, M & R company.
