The local CREST organization is seeking additional volunteers. CREST has been helping people in Martin County who need assistance for more than 20 years. They are currently receiving many new requests for services and need additional volunteers to supply the needed help.

Examples of help that you might be able to give include: light housekeeping chores, making a meal for someone recovering from surgery, transportation for doctor’s appointments, trips to the grocery store or pharmacy, respite care to provide a few hour’s relief for someone taking care of a loved one, or visiting in person or telephone calls to someone who is experiencing social isolation.

If you feel you could give even a few hours a month, call the CREST office today at (507) 235-3833. They can give you more information or send you an application.
