Annie Oakley Fun Shoot set for Sunday

TRUMAN — 2019 Jaguar football team camp for varsity and junior varsity players is being held 4-6 p.m. on July 22-25. The fee is $30 and all players will receive a camp shirt and four days of instruction. Register by Monday to senfb@truman.k12.mn.us with your name, shirt size, grade in fall of 2019 and contact info. This will be held at the Truman High School football field so wear cleats, shirt and shorts.

Come join the Annie Oakley Fun Shoot from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday at the Truman Gun Club. The entry fee is $5/round with prizes awarded. All are welcome.

Truman City Council will meet 5:30 p.m. Monday at Truman City Hall. The meeting is open to the public.

Every Wednesday in July, Prairieland Solid Waste facility is accepting your household hazardous waste for free and appliances/electronics for a fee of $15 each. The hours are from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. If you have any questions, please call (507) 776-3232.

Wednesday is recycling day. Please place your recycling containers curbside by 7 a.m.

Donations are still needed to help fund the annual Truman Days parade. The parade is scheduled for 5 p.m. Saturday, July 27. Please help put on the parade by sending your donation to Parade Committee, P.O. Box 34, Truman MN 56088. The Truman Days parade is funded separately from other Truman Days activities. Because of your sponsorship or donation, Truman has been able to put on a nice parade that has been enjoyed by many in the area.

Its time to prepare for the 2019-2020 sports season and Madelia Community Hospital & Clinic is helping athletes at Truman High School who are entering grades 7-12 with a FREE sports physical. From now until August 30 call for an appointment at (507) 642-5200 and bring your completed and signed MN State High School League sports physical forms. For the months of July and August beginning July 7, Sunday worship services at Trinity Lutheran Church will begin 10:30 a.m. with coffee hour at 9:30 a.m.
