St. Paul United Church of Christ has summer services at 9 a.m.

Area residents are welcome to join any of these congregations in worship.

Welcome Legion Auxiliary will meet 7 p.m. Monday at the Legion. Plan now to attend.

n

Tuesday coffee hours in June continue from 8:30-10 a.m. at the Regional Worship Center (across from Kum & Go) in Sherburn. Join friends and neighbors for good brew, treats and good fellowship.

n

Welcome City Council will meet 6 p.m. Tuesday at City Hall. All members are urged to attend.

n

For those in the Welcome area, anyone is able to have a lunch free from 12:15-12:45 p.m. every Tuesday and Thursday this summer at Central Park (across from the fire hall). This is sponsored by Kinship in collaboration with several churches as a summer hunger program. Valero volunteers will begin this summer help for Welcome area from June to August this year.

Sandwiches, water and other donated items such as fruit or cookies are available for anyone who needs a lunch. Their motto is “Summer and hunger, the two should never mix.”

Thank you to those helping people missing lunch this summer.

Congratulations to Donald and Beverly Meyer of Welcome who celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary June 9. Cards will reach them at Box 271, Welcome, MN 56181. Our wish is for many more anniversaries.
