FAIRMONT — The 2018-2019 show season is coming to an end this weekend at the Fairmont Opera House.

VoicePlay will take the stage at 7:30 p.m. Saturday. As seen on Season 4 of NBC’s “The Sing-Off,” the group takes songs old and new and re-invents them in a cappella style.

Based in Orlando, Fla., VoicePlay performs across the country and around the world. What began as a street corner barbershop act has evolved into an internationally acclaimed touring sensation and video entertainment brand.

VoicePlay is billed as unlike any theatrical experience available today, re-creating the orchestrated sound of an entire musical production with nothing but the human voice.

According to a press release, the cast of VoicePlay has taken vocal music and turned it on its head. Re-imagined as a full stage show, the group offers unique harmonies as it ping-pongs between eras and styles, lacing its performance with inventive on-stage theatrics.
