TRUMAN — Truman Lions Club burger bash will be 5-7 p.m. Saturday at the Truman Community Building. Come enjoy a delicious burger, condiments, beans, chips and a beverage.

All proceeds benefit youth programs in our community.

Lewisville Legion Auxiliary chicken supper will be 5-6:30 p.m. Sunday at the Lewisville Legion.

Due to our winter weather, school will be in session Monday.

Truman City Council meets 5:30 p.m. Tuesday. This change is because of Presidents Day.

Truman School Board meets 6 p.m. Tuesday.

Recycling day is Wednesday. Please place container curbside by 7 a.m. with front of recycling container facing the street.

Senior citizens can get free food in Truman from Second Harvest Heartland and the nutrition assistance program for seniors. Food is available to eligible seniors 60 years and older.

Seniors who are interested in applying for NAPS can pre-register at (800) 365-0270.

You can pick up your 30-35 pound box of food from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Trinity Lutheran Church, 102 N. Seventh Ave. E., in Truman.

A Playdough-making class for children kindergarten age and older will be held 4:15-5:15 p.m. Feb. 25 but those interested must register by Feb. 20. The cost is $5.

Fairmont Women of Today are hosting “Instant pot cooking – the next level” from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday in the home ec room at Truman High School. The cost is $16.

Come hungry as you will be able to enjoy the food that is cooked. Bring your instant pot book to make notes and see the different functions.
