Sherburn eyes public projects

SHERBURN – Sherburn officials this week discussed several public works projects.

They note that the Sherburn TV building is cleaned out and ready for sale, while street signs and lights have been replaced along Highway 4.

In another matter, Temperance Lake Ridge plans were discussed. Officials say designs are progressing well and things are falling into place. Completion dates are still in the planning stage but there are hopes for the work to be done within 14 months.

In other business:

o The new mayor, Jeff Ross, and council members Brad Ringnell and Carlee Hunter were installed.

o The council approved 2019 designations — depository: Bank Midwest; newspaper: Martin County Star; insurance agent: Michael Ringnell; and attorney: James Wilson.

o The council approved the fee schedules, with one change for the ambulance. If the ambulance is called and then refused there will be a charge of $150 to cover the personnel and other expenses.

o The council set the next meeting for 5 p.m. Jan. 22 at City Hall.
