Homecoming parade set
TRUMAN — Congratulations to Truman High School homecoming king Clay Gieseke and queen Alyssa Nagorske.

Plan to attend the community homecoming parade beginning 4:30 p.m. Friday.
Then, from 5:30-7 p.m., there will be a tailgate party sponsored by Profinium. Truman High School alumni Bruce and Jodie (Blinkman) Bentele will serve their pulled pork sandwiches. A free-will donation will be given to the Jaguars Sports Boosters.
In case of inclement weather, the meal will be served inside the school.
The football game will begin at 7 p.m.

AJ’s Onion Rings are being served beginning 3 p.m. Friday at the farmers market in front of the NAPA store. If anyone would like to join AJ with garden produce, canned/baked goods or other crafts, just come and set up.

Truman City Council meets 5:30 p.m. Monday. All meetings are open to the public.

It’s “Taco Time” from 5-7 p.m. Monday at the Truman High School cafeteria. This meal is a fundraiser for the new gymnasium scoreboard. Enjoy a walking taco with all the fixings, cookie and beverage. The cost is $7 for adults and $5 for kids 10 and under.
Then you can cheer on the Lady Jags volleyball team.

Truman Pride meets 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in the THS media center. Come join this active group and help support the students and school.

Recycling day is Wednesday. Place your recycling container curbside by 7 a.m. with the front facing the street.

If you are third-grade age or older and would like to make spooky luminaries, you must register by Oct. 5 for a fun class that will be held 4:30-5:30 p.m. Oct. 8.
The cost is $5 per luminary. Wear paint clothes as you will get messy.
These fun luminaries will create spooky fun mood-lighting for your trick-or-treating night.
