Delman G. Omot, 19, of Austin, Minn., was convicted of no proof of motor vehicle insurance; fined $200. Also convicted of speeding; fined $145. Also convicted of instruction permit violation (18 years or older); fined $50.

Angela L. Helling, 34, of Blue Earth, was convicted of careless driving-operate any vehicle carelessly on street or highway; fined $385, sentenced to jail 90 days, stayed 87 days for one year, credit for time served three days, one year unsupervised probation, attend MADD impact panel and follow all recommendations, no drivers license or insurance violations, no same or similar violations of the law, complete and pay for a comprehensive assessment within 60 days of sentencing and follow all recommendations in a timely manner, must sign all releases for assessor to obtain collateral information from assigned probation agent(s), assigned social worker(s) if any, mental health treatment provider(s) if any, relevant family/household members and recent treatment providers as part of their assessment, must successfully complete the level of treatment and aftercare recommended rather than choosing a lesser level of care.
