Marcella Garcia, 52, of Fairmont, was convicted of driving after revocation; fined $285. Also convicted of failing to carry proof of insurance while operating motor vehicle; fined $200.
Mark W. Meerdink, 33, of Ames, Iowa, was convicted of 4th-degree intentional damage to property; sentenced to jail 30 days. Also convicted of theft-taking/using/transferring movable property without consent; sentenced to jail 30 days. Also convicted of 5th-degree possession of drugs; sentenced to jail 30 days.
Sergio Rangel. 48, of Fairmont, was convicted of 1st-degree criminal sexual conduct with a child under the age of 16; fined $160, sentenced to a correctional facility for 144 months, give a DNA sample when directed, predatory offender registration required. Received two additional charges of multiple acts of criminal sexual conduct with a child under the age of 16; both dismissed.
Ryan D. Ask, 33, of Dunnell, was convicted of driving while impaired in the 3rd-degree-alcohol concentration 0.08 within two hours; fined $910, sentenced to jail 364 days, stay 364 days for two years, supervised probation two years, follow all state and federal criminal laws, cooperate with the search of your person, residence, vehicle, workplace, property, and things as directed by your probation officer, sign releases of information as directed, do not use or possess firearms, ammunition, or explosives, obtain permission from agent before leaving the state, no alcohol or controlled substance use with the exception of prescribed medications, no possession of alcohol or drugs with the exception of prescribed medication, random testing, attend MADD impact panel, no same or similar, complete post-sentence investigation, cooperate with any post-sentence investigation. Received an additional charge of driving while impaired in the 3rd-degree; dismissed.
Rigoberto A. Vasquez, 20, of Fairmont, was convicted of reckless terroristic threats; fined $100, sentenced to correctional facility for 12 months and one day, stay for five years, sentenced to jail 120 days, credit for time served 77 days, sentenced to service 10 days indeterminate, follow all state and federal criminal laws, contact your probation officer as directed, cooperate with the search of your person, residence, vehicle, workplace, property, and things as directed by your probation officer, sign releases of information as directed, do not use or possess firearms, ammunition, or explosives, obtain permission from agent before leaving the state, no contact with victim(s) or family, no threats of violence, domestic abuse evaluation, no alcohol or controlled substance use with the exception of prescribed medications, no possession of alcohol or drugs with the exception of prescribed medication, random testing, pay restitution, comply with ICE and any officials regarding citizenship status, domestic no contact. Received additional charges of 2nd-degree assault-dangerous weapon; domestic assault by strangulation, interruption of emergency telephone calls, domestic assault to intentionally inflict bodily harm on another; 5th-degree assault-attempt or inflict bodily harm; each dismissed.

Narruhn, 21, of Fairmont, was convicted of theft-taking/using/transferring a movable firearm without consent; fined $75, sentenced to correctional facility for 12 months and one day, stay for five years, sentenced to jail seven days, credit for time served seven days, follow all state and federal criminal laws, contact your probation officer as directed, cooperate with the search of your person, residence, vehicle, workplace, property, and things as directed by your probation officer, sign releases of information as directed, do not use or possess firearms, ammunition, or explosives, obtain permission from agent before leaving the state, pay restitution, no contact with victim(s), complete cognitive skill training, mental health evaluation, no alcohol or controlled substance use with the exception of prescribed medications, no possession of alcohol or drugs with the exception of prescribed medication, random testing, provide a list of prescribed medications to probation officer. Received an additional charge of theft-taking/using/transferring movable property without consent; child endangerment by firearm access; both dismissed.
