Galan-Torres, 25, of Blue Earth was convicted of fourth-degree driving while impaired; fined $485, sentenced to jail 90 days, stayed 86 days for one year, credit for time served four days, one year supervised probation, sentence to service two days for indeterminate, contact probation officer as directed, complete and pay for comprehensive assessment within 60 days of sentencing and follow all recommendations in a timely manner, must sign all releases for assessor to obtain collateral information from assigned probation agent(s), assigned social worker(s) if any, mental health treatment provider(s) if any, relevant family/household members and recent treatment providers as part of their assessment, must successfully complete the level of treatment and aftercare recommended rather than choosing a lesser level of care, no alcohol/controlled substance use with the exception of prescribed medications, no alcohol/controlled substance possession with the exception of prescribed medications, random testing, attend MADD impact panel, follow all state and federal criminal laws, contact probation agent within 72 hours if charged with a new crime; are in contact with law enforcement; if changes address, employment, or telephone number, cooperate with search of person, residence, vehicle, workplace, property, etc. by probation officer, sign releases of information as directed, don’t use/possess firearms, ammunition or explosives. Additional charge of driving without a valid drivers license for vehicle class or type was dismissed.
Wyatt E. Tungland, 24, of St. Cloud was convicted on a felony charge of fifth-degree assault-same victim in two or more previous convictions; fined $660, commit to Commissioner of Corrections 28 months, restitution should remain open for 30 days, give a DNA sample when directed. Additional felony charge of first-degree burglary-assault of person in building on property was dismissed.
Crystal E. Fern Sell 46, of Wells was convicted on a felony charge of first-degree driving while impaired-within 10 years of 3 or more qualified prior impaired driving incidents; commit to Commissioner of Corrections 36 months, stayed for five years, five years supervised probation, contact probation officer as directed, follow all recommendations of comprehensive use assessment dated 7/31/24 including aftercare, enter and successfully complete residential treatment as recommended in comprehensive use assessment and follow all aftercare recommendations, no alcohol/controlled substance use with the exception of prescribed medications, no alcohol/controlled substance possession with the exception of prescribed medications, random testing, obtain permission from agent before leaving the state, follow all state and federal criminal laws, contact probation agent within 72 hours if charged with a new crime; are in contact with law enforcement; if changes address, employment, or telephone number, cooperate with search of person, residence, vehicle, workplace, property, etc. by probation officer, give a DNA sample when directed, sign releases of information as directed, don’t use/possess firearms, ammunition or explosives. Additional charge of driving after cancellation-inimical to public safety was dismissed.
Ksapa I. Gerald Warren Veaux, 26, of Winnebago was convicted of school bus-stop signal extended/red lights flashing-other drivers to stop; fined $285, sentenced to jail 90 days, stayed 90 days for one year, one year unsupervised probation, no same or similar. Additional charge of school bus-fail to stop-pass bus with child outside was dismissed.
