John C. Frederick, 55, of Blue Earth received a stay of adjudication on a felony charge of solicit child or believe to be a child through electronic communications to engage in sexual conduct; fined $825, sentenced to jail 120 days, credit for time served 74 days, five years supervised probation, obtain employment and maintain employment to the best of ability, no contact with persons under age 18, no contact with any minor persons under the age of 18 without prior written approval from treatment provider or probation agent, don’t possess/use any pornographic/sexually explicit material, disclose to agent all computers, internet capable devices, or digital storage devices within the offender’s possession within 24 hours of first possessing or accessing such devices, all devices are subject to search and monitoring, the offender is responsible for any material found on these devices, comply with computer/phone monitoring software, at own expense, as directed by agent, do not enter places where sexual materials are available, do not use any phone sex lines, dating services, social networks or enter any strip clubs or adult bookstores or any other business where the primary source of business is adult entertainment, psychological-sexual evaluation, complete a psychosexual assessment, follow all recommendations and pay all fees, submit to polygraph examinations as directed by
agent and/or treatment provider; and pay for the costs of the examinations, no alcohol/controlled substance use with the exception of prescribed medications including, but not
exclusive to, non-alcohol beer, wine and energy drinks containing alcohol, no alcohol/controlled substance possession with the exception of prescribed medications including, but not
exclusive to, non-alcohol beer, wine and energy drinks containing alcohol, submit to random urine/breath testing at request of probation agent or law enforcement, obtain permission from agent before leaving the state, follow all state and federal criminal laws, contact probation agent within 72 hours if charged with a new crime; are in contact with law enforcement; if changes address, employment, or telephone number, cooperate with search of person, residence, vehicle, workplace, property, etc. by probation officer, sign releases of information as directed, don’t use or possess firearms, ammunition or explosives. Additional felony charges of engage in electronic communication relating or describing sexual conduct with a child, and distribute via electronic communication material that relates/describes sexual conduct to a child, were both dismissed.
Heather J. Froisland, 43, of Bricelyn was convicted of driving after revocation; fined $75, sentenced to jail 90 days, stayed 90 days for one year, one year unsupervised probation, no same or similar.
Alan T. Adams, 46, of Blue Earth was convicted of failure of driver to carry proof of insurance when operating a vehicle; fined $200. Also convicted of motor vehicle registration-no plates or insignia registered; fined $185. Also convicted of driving without a valid drivers license for vehicle class or type; fined $100. Also convicted of wireless communications device-hold wireless communications device with one or both hands; fined $50. Also convicted of passing violation-overtaking vehicle fails to pass to left or safely clear; fined $50.
Omar O. Vega, 45, of Winnebago received a stay of adjudication on a charge of domestic abuse-violate Order for Protection (OFP); fined $225, sentenced to jail two days, credit for time served two days, no new violations of an Order for Protection, no same or similar.
Kyler G. Pepper, 26, of Austin was convicted of fourth-degree driving while impaired; fined $415, sentenced to jail 90 days, stayed 90 days for one year, one year supervised probation, contact probation officer as directed, complete and pay for comprehensive assessment within 60 days of sentencing and follow all recommendations in a timely manner, must sign all releases for assessor to obtain collateral information from assigned probation agent(s), assigned social worker(s) if any, mental health treatment provider(s) if any, relevant family/household members and recent treatment providers as part of their assessment, must successfully complete the level of treatment and aftercare recommended rather than choosing a lesser level of care, no alcohol/controlled substance use with the exception of prescribed medications, no alcohol/controlled substance possession with the exception of prescribed medications, random testing, contact Faribault County Services before Aug. 23, 2024, attend MADD impact panel, remain law-abiding, no driving without valid driver’s license and insurance. Additional charges of operate motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, and driving while impaired-alcohol concentration 0.08 within two hours, were both dismissed.
