Gavin W. Jensen, 40, of Fairmont was convicted on a felony charge of fifth-degree controlled substance possession-not small amount of marijuana; fined $100, commit to Commissioner of Corrections 15 months, stayed five years, sentenced to jail 40 days, credit for time served 40 days, if inpatient bed becomes available before 7/16/24, the Martin County Sheriff’s Department is to transport directly to treatment and if bed does not become available, the defendant may be released to probation agent, five years supervised probation, sentence to service 15 days for indeterminate, contact probation officer as directed, complete a mental health diagnostic assessment and follow all recommendations for care and aftercare, follow all recommendations for care and aftercare of the complete comprehensive assessment, no alcohol/controlled substance use with the exception of prescribed medications including THC/marijuana, no alcohol/controlled substance possession with the exception of prescribed medications including THC/marijuana, random testing, cognitive skill training if recommended by probation, obtain and maintain employment to the best of your ability, obtain permission from agent before leaving the state, follow all state and federal criminal laws, contact probation agent within 72 hours if charged with a new crime; are in contact with law enforcement; if changes address, employment, or telephone number, cooperate with search of person, residence, vehicle, workplace, property, etc. by probation officer, give a DNA sample when directed, sign releases of information as directed, don’t use/possess firearms, ammunition or explosives. Additional felony charge of second-degree burglary of a dwelling was dismissed.

Kazi Shahrukh Omar, 28, of Chicago, Ill. was convicted of speeding; fined $285. Additional charge of careless driving-operate any vehicle carelessly on streets or highways was dismissed.

Christopher V. Shavers, 37, of Sioux Falls, S.D. was convicted of no insurance-owner violation; fined $200. Also convicted of no Minnesota drivers license; fined $185.
