Avinoam A. Kimchy, 41, of New York, N.Y.; fined $225.

Jose R. Ruiz, 59, of Wells received a stay of imposition pursuant to Minnesota statutes on a felony charge of domestic assault; fined $660, sentenced to jail 95 days, credit for time served 95 days, five years supervised probation, contact probation officer as directed, no alcohol/controlled substance use with the exception of prescribed medications, no alcohol/controlled substance possession with the exception of prescribed medications, random testing, complete a domestic abuse program as required by Minnesota statute, five years Domestic No Contact (DANCO), no assaultive or threatening behavior, don’t enter bars or liquor stores or any establishment where the primary source of business is the sale or service of alcohol, follow all recommendations of the comprehensive use assessment dated 4/10/24, follow all recommendations of mental health evaluation, cognitive skill training as directed by agent, obtain permission from agent before leaving the state, follow all state and federal criminal laws, contact probation agent within 72 hours if charged with a new crime; are in contact with law enforcement; if changes address, employment, or telephone number, cooperate with search of person, residence, vehicle, workplace, property, etc. by probation officer, give a DNA sample when directed, sign releases of information as directed, don’t use or possess firearms, ammunition or explosives. One felony charge of domestic assault and 2 felony charges of domestic assault-by strangulation, were all dismissed.

Bennie J. Byler, 37, of Rochester was convicted of driving after revocation; fined $200. Also convicted of speeding; fined $145.

Steven P. Olsen, 56, of Thompson, Iowa received a stay of adjudication on a charge of driving after revocation; fined $285, one year unsupervised monitoring without conviction, no traffic-related charges, no traffic offenses, no DWI offenses, no same or similar. Additional charges of speeding, and unsafe passing against signs (no pass zone), were both dismissed.
