Joel A. Sorenson, 46, of North Mankato was convicted of fifth-degree controlled substance possession-not small amount of marijuana; fined $585, sentenced to jail 364 days, stayed 351 days for two years, credit for time served 13 days, two years supervised probation, contact probation officer as directed, complete and pay for comprehensive assessment within 60 days of sentencing and follow all recommendations timely, must sign all releases for assessor to obtain collateral information from assigned probation agent(s), assigned social worker(s) if any, mental health treatment provider(s) if any, relevant family/household members and recent treatment providers as part of their assessment, must successfully complete the level of treatment and aftercare recommended rather than choosing a lesser level of care, follow recommendations of evaluation, no alcohol/controlled substance use, no alcohol/controlled substance possession, random testing, complete diagnostic assessment if requested by agent, cognitive skill training if requested by agent, excluded from Fairmont Walmart during entire term of probation, remain law-abiding, obtain permission from agent before leaving the state, follow all state and federal criminal laws, contact probation agent within 72 hours if charged with a new crime; are in contact with law enforcement; if changes address, employment, or telephone number, cooperate with search of person, residence, vehicle, workplace, property, etc. by probation officer, sign releases of information as directed, don’t use/possess firearms, ammunition, or explosives. Olson, 63, of Sherburn was convicted of fourth-degree damage to property-intentional damage-other circumstances; fined $185, sentenced to jail 30 days, stayed 30 days for one year, one year unsupervised probation, restitution reserved for 30 days, no contact with victim(s), no same or similar.

Jose Nestor Perez, 32, of Fairmont was convicted of uninsured vehicle-owner violation; fined $285. Also convicted of vehicle registration/permit/plates required; fined $30.

Maria De Lo Rodriguez Ocotlan, 26, of Estherville, Iowa was convicted of failure of driver to carry proof of insurance when operating a vehicle; fined $200. Also convicted of speeding; fined $145.

Todd A. Deling, 58, of Ormsby was convicted of speeding; fined $125. Also convicted of seat belt required-driver and passengers must use; fined $110.
