Brooke L. Meyer, 39, of Fairmont received a statutory stay of adjudication on a felony charge of fifth-degree controlled substance possession-not small amount of marijuana; fined $100, sentenced to jail five days, credit for time served five days, concurrent with other case, five years supervised probation, sentence to service five days for indeterminate, contact probation officer as directed, complete and pay for a comprehensive assessment within 60 days of sentencing and follow all recommendations timely, must sign all releases for assessor to obtain collateral information from assigned probation agent(s), assigned social worker(s) if any, mental health treatment provider(s) if any, relevant family/household members and recent treatment providers as part of their assessment, must successfully complete the level of treatment and aftercare recommended rather than choosing a lesser level of care, no alcohol/controlled substance use, no alcohol/controlled substance possession, random testing, provide list of prescribed medications to probation officer, obtain permission from agent before leaving the state, follow all state and federal criminal laws, contact probation agent within 72 hours if charged with a new crime; are in contact with law enforcement; if changes address, employment, or telephone number, cooperate with search of person, residence, vehicle, workplace, property, etc. by probation officer, sign releases of information as directed, don’t use/possess firearms, ammunition, or explosives. Additional felony charge of third-degree controlled substance sale of narcotics, and misdemeanor charges of driving while impaired-body contains any amount of schedule I/II drugs-not marijuana, uninsured vehicle-driver violation, and possession of drug paraphernalia-use or possession prohibited, were all dismissed.
Nicholas J. Titus, 39, of St. Paul was convicted on a felony charge of predatory offender-knowingly commits act or fails to fulfill registration requirement; fined $685, commit to Commissioner of Corrections 18 months, stayed five years, sentenced to jail 90 days, credit for time served three days, serve as work release if eligible, may serve jail term at licensed jail facility in Minnesota or Wisconsin, five years supervised probation, contact probation officer as directed, follow all predatory offender registration requirements in Minnesota and Wisconsin, predatory offender registration required, remain law-abiding, commit no new offenses, work with probation agent in Minnesota to get probation transferred to Wisconsin, obtain permission from agent before leaving the state, follow all state and federal criminal laws, contact probation agent within 72 hours if charged with a new crime; are in contact with law enforcement; if changes address, employment, or telephone number, cooperate with search of person, residence, vehicle, workplace, property, etc. by probation officer, give a DNA sample when directed, sign releases of information as directed, don’t use/possess firearms, ammunition, or explosives, don’t vote until July 1, 2023, you have the right to register to vote on that date and any time you are not incarcerated for this offense.
Erin K. Maier, 36, of Ceylon was convicted of theft-take/use/transfer movable property without consent; fined $285, sentenced to jail 364 days, stayed 364 days for one year, one year unsupervised probation, pay restitution before fees, fines and surcharges, don’t enter Fairmont Walmart and other locations, no same or similar.
D’Andre J. Harris, 18, of Fairmont had a charge of emergency calls/communications-interrupt/interfere/impede/disrupt 911 call continued for dismissal; fined $75, six months unsupervised monitoring without conviction, no new violations of the law, no same or similar. Also had a charge of domestic assault-commits act to cause fear of immediate bodily harm or death continued for dismissal; six months unsupervised monitoring without conviction, no new violations of the law, no same or similar.
Branden C. Hatfield, 31, of Ceylon was convicted of give peace officer false name/birthdate/ID card; fined $185, sentenced to jail eight days, credit for time served eight days.
Michael E. Shumski, 37, of Welcome was convicted of accumulation of garbage; sentenced to jail 15 days, stayed 14 days for one year, credit for time served one day, one year unsupervised monitoring without conviction, $185 to be stayed for 30 days and if the property is cleaned up the fine will not be imposed with the Sheriff to contact the court after 30 days to advise if property has been cleaned up.
