Cruz Jesus Castillo, 20, of Brownsville, Texas was convicted of third-degree damage to property-reduce value $501-$1,000; fined $36,896.20, restitution $36,796.20, sentenced to jail 365 days, stayed 359 days for two years, credit for time served six days, two years supervised probation, contact probation officer as directed, pay restitution of $36,796.20, pay restitution before fees, fines and surcharges, participate in the ICOTS system for transfer of supervision to the State of Texas including signing and returning all necessary documents promptly as directed by agent, no same or similar, follow all state and federal criminal laws, contact probation agent within 72 hours if charged with a new crime; are in contact with law enforcement; if changes address, employment, or telephone number, cooperate with search of person, residence, vehicle, workplace, property, etc. by probation officer, sign releases of information as directed, don’t use/possess firearms, ammunition, or explosives. Also received a stay of imposition pursuant to Minnesota statutes on a felony charge of fleeing a peace officer in a motor vehicle; sentenced to jail six days, credit for time served six days, three years supervised probation, contact probation officer as directed, pay restitution of $36,796.20, pay restitution before fees, fines and surcharges, participate in the ICOTS system for transfer of supervision to the State of Texas including signing and returning all necessary documents promptly as directed by agent, follow all state and federal criminal laws, contact probation agent within 72 hours if charged with a new crime; are in contact with law enforcement; if changes address, employment, or telephone number, cooperate with search of person, residence, vehicle, workplace, property, etc. by probation officer, give a DNA sample when directed, sign releases of information as directed, don’t use/possess firearms, ammunition, or explosives, don’t vote until July 1, 2023, you have the right to register to vote on that date and any time you are not incarcerated for this offense. Additional charges of obstruct legal process-interfere with peace officer, fleeing a peace officer by a means other than a motor vehicle, reckless driving-drives consciously disregarding a substantial or unjustifiable risk, careless driving-operate any vehicle carelessly on street or highway, and speeding, were all dismissed.

Cody A. Hinton, 29, of Elmore had a charge of fifth-degree assault continued for dismissal; six months unsupervised monitoring without conviction, no same or similar.

Ricky L. Johnson, 61, of Fairmont was convicted of driving after cancellation-inimical to public safety; fined $100, sentenced to jail 365 days, stayed 365 days for one year, one year unsupervised probation, no same or similar.

Susana L. Paz, 28, of Fairmont received a stay of imposition pursuant to Minnesota statutes on a felony charge of theft-take/use/transfer movable property without consent; fined $2,379, restitution $1,994, five years supervised probation, contact probation officer as directed, pay restitution of $1,994 within two years, no contact with victim(s), complete diagnostic assessment and follow all recommendations, cognitive skill training if recommended by agent, complete post-sentence investigation, no same or similar, obtain permission from agent before leaving the state, follow all state and federal criminal laws, contact probation agent within 72 hours if charged with a new crime; are in contact with law enforcement; if changes address, employment, or telephone number, cooperate with search of person, residence, vehicle, workplace, property, etc. by probation officer, give a DNA sample when directed, sign releases of information as directed, don’t use/possess firearms, ammunition, or explosives, don’t vote until July 1, 2023, you have the right to register to vote on that date and any time you are not incarcerated for this offense.
