Dylan J. Smith, 22, of Blue Earth was convicted of fifth-degree controlled substance possession-not small amount of marijuana; fined $460, sentenced to jail 365 days, stayed 335 days for two years, credit for time served four days, two years supervised probation, contact probation officer as directed, complete and pay for comprehensive assessment within 30 days of sentencing and follow all recommendations in a timely manner, must sign all releases for assessor to obtain collateral information from assigned probation agent(s), assigned social worker(s) if any, mental health treatment provider(s) if any, relevant family/household members and recent treatment providers as part of their assessment, must successfully complete the level of treatment and aftercare recommended rather than choosing a lesser level of care, no alcohol/controlled substance use with the exception of prescribed medications, no alcohol/controlled substance possession with the exception of prescribed medications, random testing, mental health screening and follow all recommendations, cognitive skill training as directed by agent, obtain permission from agent before leaving the state, follow all state and federal criminal laws, contact probation agent within 72 hours if charged with a new crime; are in contact with law enforcement; if changes address, employment, or telephone number, cooperate with search of person, residence, vehicle, workplace, property, etc. by probation officer, give a DNA sample when directed, sign releases of information as directed, don’t use/possess firearms, ammunition or explosives if prohibited by law. Additional charge of fleeing a peace officer by a means other than a motor vehicle, was dismissed.
Brent N. Shaikoski, 41, of Bricelyn was convicted of disorderly conduct-offensive/abusive/boisterous/noisy/obscene; fined $260, sentenced to jail 22 days, credit for time served 22 days. Additional felony charge of domestic assault by strangulation was dismissed.
Cassandra D. Alvarez, 36, of Blue Earth was convicted of driving after revocation; fined $285. Also convicted of uninsured vehicle-driver violation; fined $200. Also convicted of windshield covered with frost or steam to prevent proper vision; fined $40.
Autumn D. Anderson, 23, of Albert Lea was convicted of driving after revocation; fined $285. Also convicted of expired registration; fined $30.
Desiree M. Lopez, 33, of Blue Earth was convicted of driving after revocation; fined $285. Also convicted of no insurance-owner violation; fined $200. Also convicted of child passenger restraint system not fastened for child under 8 and under 57 inches tall; fined $50.
Justin M. Stith, 38, of Ringsted, Iowa was convicted of no motor vehicle insurance; fined $200. Also convicted of no Minnesota drivers license; fined $185.
