Deanna M. Nielsen, 40, of Fairmont was convicted on a felony charge of fifth-degree controlled substance possession-not small amount of marijuana; fined $100, commit to Commissioner of Corrections 366 days, stayed five years, sentenced to jail 45 days, credit for time served 13 days, STS is granted if eligible, five years supervised probation, sentence to service 10 days for indeterminate, contact probation officer as directed, complete chemical assessment, follow recommendations of evaluation, report to agent within 24 hours after release from jail, cognitive skill training as directed by probation agent, no alcohol/controlled substance use with the exception of prescribed medications, no alcohol/controlled substance possession with the exception of prescribed medications, random testing, obtain employment, maintain employment, obtain permission from agent before leaving the state, follow all state and federal criminal laws, contact probation agent within 72 hours if charged with a new crime; are in contact with law enforcement; if changes address, employment, or telephone number, cooperate with search of person, residence, vehicle, workplace, property, etc. by probation officer, give a DNA sample when directed, sign releases of information as directed, don’t use/possess firearms, ammunition, or explosives, don’t register to vote until discharged from probation and civil rights are fully restored. Additional charge of possession of drug paraphernalia-use or possession prohibited was dismissed.
Michael P. Schugel, 37, of Mankato was convicted of fifth-degree controlled substance possession-not small amount of marijuana; fined $185, sentenced to jail 365 days, credit for time served 26 days. Additional charges of operate motor vehicle while under the influence of a controlled substance, driving after cancellation, and
possession of drug paraphernalia-use or possession prohibited, were all dismissed.
Kelsey J. White Face, 23, of St. Paul was convicted of driving after suspension; fined $285, sentenced to jail two days, credit for time served two days. Additional charge of speeding was dismissed.
Raquel A. Banda, 28, of Fairmont was convicted of driving while impaired-alcohol concentration 0.08 within two hours; fined $610, sentenced to jail 90 days, stayed 90 days for one year, one year unsupervised probation, complete chemical assessment, follow recommendations of evaluation, no alcohol/controlled substance use with the exception of prescribed medications, no alcohol/controlled substance possession with the exception of prescribed medications, random testing, attend MADD impact panel. Additional charges of fourth-degree driving while impaired, operate motor vehicle while under the influence of a controlled substance, and driving without a valid drivers license for vehicle class or type, were all dismissed.
Allen D. Boomgaarden, 54, of Fairmont was convicted of driving after revocation; fined $285, sentenced to jail 30 days, stayed 30 days for one year, one year unsupervised probation, no same or similar.
