Layne P. Boettcher, 30, of Blue Earth was convicted of failure of driver to carry proof of insurance when operating a vehicle; fined $185, sentenced to jail 10 days, stayed 10 days for one year, one year unsupervised probation, no driving without insurance, no driving without valid drivers license, no other driving offenses. Additional charge of driving after revocation was dismissed.

Alex M. Cross, 39, of Truman was convicted of domestic assault-intentionally attempts to inflict bodily harm on another; fined $385, sentenced to jail 90 days, stayed 75 days for one year, credit for time served five days, concurrent with other case, serve as work release if eligible, one year supervised probation, pay and complete domestic violence program as directed by agent and follow all recommendations, obtain permission from agent before leaving the state, pay restitution if filed within 30 days, Domestic No Contact (DANCO), no contact with victim(s), remain law-abiding, no alcohol/controlled substance use with the exception of prescribed medications, no alcohol/controlled substance possession with the exception of prescribed medications, random testing, follow all state and federal criminal laws, contact probation agent within 72 hours if charged with a new crime; are in contact with law enforcement; if changes address, employment, or telephone number, cooperate with search of person, residence, vehicle, workplace, property, etc. by probation officer, sign releases of information as directed, don’t use/possess firearms, ammunition, or explosives. Additional felony charge of third-degree assault-substantial bodily harm, and a misdemeanor charge of domestic abuse-violate no contact order, were both dismissed.

Alan T. Flitter, 33, of Mankato was convicted of third-degree operate motor vehicle while under the influence of a controlled substance; fined $910, sentenced to jail 365 days, stayed 345 days for two years, credit for time served 20 days, two years supervised probation, complete chemical assessment, follow recommendations of evaluation, obtain permission from agent before leaving the state, no alcohol/controlled substance use with the exception of prescribed medications, no alcohol/controlled substance possession with the exception of prescribed medications, random testing, remain law-abiding, attend MADD impact panel, follow all state and federal criminal laws, contact probation agent within 72 hours if charged with a new crime; are in contact with law enforcement; if changes address, employment, or telephone number, cooperate with search of person, residence, vehicle, workplace, property, etc. by probation officer, give a DNA sample when when directed, sign releases of information as directed, don’t use/possess firearms, ammunition, or explosives if prohibited by law. Additional charges of driving after revocation, and failure to wear seat belt while in a motor vehicle, were both dismissed.

Macie Jo Sik, 19, of Granite Falls was convicted of wireless communications device-access video content/images/games/software applications; fined $135. Also convicted of failure to wear seat belt while in a motor vehicle; fined $25.

Julian E. Morales, 37, of Weslaco, Texas was convicted of no proof of motor vehicle insurance; fined $200. Also convicted of speeding; fined $145. Also convicted of no Minnesota drivers license; fined $100.
