Matthew J. Redenius, 32, of (homeless) was convicted on a felony charge of fifth-degree controlled substance possession-not small amount of marijuana; fined $1,160, commit to Commissioner of Corrections 17 months, stayed five years, sentenced to jail 120 days, credit for time served 47 days, five years supervised probation, complete chemical assessment and follow all recommendations of evaluation, no alcohol/controlled substance use, no alcohol/controlled substance possession, random testing, cognitive skill training if recommended by agent, work with probation agent on getting probation transferred to Iowa, complete a mental health evaluation if recommended by agent and follow all recommendations, provide list of prescribed medications to probation officer, obtain permission from agent before leaving the state, follow all state and federal criminal laws, contact probation agent within 72 hours if charged with a new crime; are in contact with law enforcement; if change address, employment, or telephone number, cooperate with search of person, residence, vehicle, workplace, property, etc. by probation officer, sign all releases of information, give DNA sample when directed, don’t use/possess firearms, ammunition, or explosives, don’t register to vote until discharged from probation and civil rights are fully restored.

Cary C. Wiederhoeft-Weihe, 54, of Fairmont was convicted on a felony charge of fifth-degree controlled substance possession-not small amount of marijuana; fined $160, commit to Commissioner of Corrections 366 days, supply DNA sample, all fines and fees to be taken from prison earnings. Two additional felony charges of fifth-degree controlled substance possession-not small amount of marijuana, felon convicted crime of violence-firearm violation, and a misdemeanor violation of possession of drug paraphernalia-use prohibited, were all dismissed.

Jessica M. Verschelde, 38, of Ceylon received a stay of imposition pursuant to Minnesota statutes on a felony charge of fifth-degree controlled substance possession-not small amount of marijuana; fined $1,185, sentenced to jail 30 days, credit for time served three days, may serve remaining jail sentence on electronic home monitoring, five years supervised probation, contact probation within 24 hours, complete chemical assessment and follow all recommendations, no alcohol/controlled substance use, no alcohol/controlled substance possession, random testing, complete a cognitive skills course if recommended by agent, remain law-abiding, obtain permission from agent before leaving the state, follow all state and federal criminal laws, contact probation agent within 72 hours if charged with a new crime; are in contact with law enforcement; if changes address, employment, or telephone number, cooperate with search of person, residence, vehicle, workplace, property, etc. by probation officer, sign releases of information as directed, give a DNA sample when directed, don’t use/possess firearms, ammunition, or explosives, don’t register to vote or vote until discharged from probation and civil rights are fully restored.

Gilberto Amaro Jr., 21, of Blue Earth was convicted of trespass-return to property within one year; fined $185, sentenced to jail 90 days, stayed 90 days for one year, one year unsupervised probation, no same or similar.

Amber L. Engebretson, 44, of Fairmont was convicted of failure of driver to carry proof of insurance when operating a vehicle; fined $385. Additional charge of driving after revocation was dismissed.

Scotty E. Jasmin, 24, of St. Joseph, Mo. was convicted on a felony charge of theft-take or drive motor vehicle without owner consent; fined $1,533.16, restitution $1,493.16, commit to Commissioner of Corrections 17 months, stayed five years, five years supervised probation, restitution will be converted to a civil judgement. Additional charge of theft-take/use/transfer movable property without consent was dismissed.
