Failure to drive with due care — Jonathan C. Campbell, 67, of San Diego, Calif.; fined $125.

Possess/sale small of amount of marijuana-no remuneration — Elias D. Kauffmann, 19, of Winnebago; fined $135.

Driving without a valid drivers license for vehicle class or type — Desiree Lopez, 30, of Blue Earth; fined $185.

No Minnesota registration — Daniel A. Hanson, 44, of Le Roy; fined $185.

Jared P. Cartwright, 38, of Granada received a statutory stay of adjudication on a felony charge of fifth-degree controlled substance possession; fined $835, two years supervised probation, complete a domestic abuse counseling/treatment program as directed by agent, no mood-altering chemicals, random testing, obtain permission from agent before leaving the state, follow all state and federal criminal laws, contact probation agent within 72 hours if been charged with a new crime; are in contact with law enforcement; if change address, employment, or telephone number, cooperate with search of person, residence, vehicle, workplace, property, etc. by probation officer, give a DNA sample when directed, sign releases of information as directed, don’t use or possess firearms, ammunition or explosives. One additional felony charge of kidnapping-to commit great bodily harm or terrorize, and a misdemeanor charge of domestic assault, were both dismissed.

Benjamin L. Garvick, 32, of Elmore was convicted of fifth-degree assault-inflict or attempt bodily harm; fined $335, sentenced to jail 90 days, stayed 89 days for one year, credit for time served one day, one year supervised probation, sentence to service eight hours for indeterminate, enroll in Veteran’s Court program if the referral is accepted, obtain mental health assessment within 90 days and follow all recommendations, follow all recommendations of chemical dependency assessment dated 12/28/2020, no mood-altering chemicals, random testing, follow all state and federal criminal laws, contact probation agent within 72 hours if charged with a new crime; are in contact with law enforcement; if change address, employment, or telephone number, cooperate with search of person, residence, vehicle, workplace, property, etc. by probation officer, sign releases of information as directed, don’t use or possess firearms, ammunition or explosives if prohibited by law. Additional felony charge of domestic assault by strangulation was dismissed.

Malachi D. Smith, 40, of Sherburn received a stay of adjudication on a charge of driving after cancellation-inimical to public safety; fined $500, sentenced to jail four days, credit for time served four days, one year unsupervised probation, no same or similar. Additional felony charge of fifth-degree controlled substance possession-not small amount of marijuana was dismissed.

Kristel M. Winter, 44, of Hastings received a stay of adjudication on a charge of speeding; fined $125, six months probation to the court, no same or similar.
