Melanie K. Salisbury, 20, of Armstrong, Iowa was convicted of domestic abuse-violate No Contact Order; fined $385, sentenced to jail 90 days, stayed 83 days for one year, credit for time served seven days, one year supervised probation, follow all conditions set forth in the probation agreement, remain law-abiding, follow all recommendations of the chemical dependency assessment being completed at MCHS including inpatient treatment and aftercare programming, no alcohol/controlled substance use, no alcohol/controlled substance possession, random testing, complete diagnostic assessment, obtain permission from agent before leaving the state, follow all state and federal criminal laws, contact probation agent within 72 hours if charged with a new crime; are in contact with law enforcement; if change address, employment, or telephone number, cooperate with search of person, residence, vehicle, workplace, property, etc. by probation officer, sign releases of information as directed, don’t use/possess firearms, ammunition, or explosives. Also convicted of disorderly conduct-offensive/abusive/boisterous/noisy/obscene; fined $85, sentenced to jail 90 days, stayed 85 days for one year, credit for time served five days, one year supervised probation, follow all conditions set forth in the probation agreement, remain law-abiding, follow recommendations of the chemical dependency assessment being completed at MCHS including inpatient treatment and aftercare programming, no alcohol/controlled substance use, no alcohol/controlled substance possession, random testing, complete diagnostic assessment, obtain permission from agent before leaving the state, follow all state and federal criminal laws, contact probation agent within 72 hours if charged with a new crime; are in contact with law enforcement; if change address, employment, or telephone number, cooperate with search of person, residence, vehicle, workplace, property, etc. by probation officer, sign releases of information as directed, don’t use/possess firearms, ammunition, or explosives. Additional charges of disorderly conduct-brawling or fighting, domestic assault-intentionally attempts to inflict bodily harm on another, domestic abuse-violate No Contact Order, and obstruct legal process-lawful execution of legal process, were all dismissed.

Jayme M. Taylor, 49, of Fairmont received a statutory stay of adjudication on a charge of fifth-degree controlled substance possession-not small amount of marijuana; fined $500, sentenced to jail one day, credit for time served one day, one year supervised probation, follow all conditions set forth in the probation agreement, complete chemical assessment, follow all recommendations of evaluation, obtain permission from agent before leaving the state, no alcohol/controlled substance use, no alcohol/controlled substance possession, random testing, take medications in the prescribed dosage and frequency, no misdemeanor or greater violations of law, provide list of prescribed medications to probation officer, follow all state and federal criminal laws, contact probation agent within 72 hours if charged with a new crime; are in contact with law enforcement; if changes address, employment, or telephone number, cooperate with search of person, residence, vehicle, workplace, property, etc. by probation officer, sign releases of information as directed, don’t use/possess firearms, ammunition, or explosives. Also convicted of give peace officer false name/birthdate/ID card; fined $85, sentenced to jail 90 days stayed 89 days for one year, credit for time served one day, one year unsupervised probation, no contact with victim(s), no same or similar. Additional charges of harassment-knowingly violates restraining order, and obstruct legal process-interfere with peace officer, were both dismissed.
