Deanna M. Nielsen, 38, of Fairmont received a statutory stay of adjudication on a charge of fifth-degree controlled substance possession-not small amount of marijuana; sentenced to jail 17 days, credit for time served 17 days, one year supervised probation, sentence to service five days for indeterminate, follow all conditions set forth in the probation agreement, contact probation officer as directed, no alcohol/controlled substance use, no alcohol/controlled substance possession, random testing, remain law-abiding, take medications in the prescribed dosage and frequency, follow all recommendations of recently completed chemical dependency assessment including chemical dependency treatment, follow all recommendations of individual therapy, obtain permission from agent before leaving the state, follow all state and federal criminal laws, contact probation agent within 72 hours if charged with a new crime; are in contact with law enforcement; if change address, employment, or telephone number, cooperate with search of person, residence, vehicle, workplace, property, etc. by probation officer, sign releases of information as directed, don’t use/possess firearms, ammunition, or explosives. Also convicted on a separate charge of fifth-degree controlled substance possession-not small amount of marijuana; sentenced to jail 365 days, stayed 348 days for two years, credit for time served 17 days, two years supervised probation, sentence to service five days for indeterminate, follow all conditions set forth in the probation agreement, contact probation officer as directed, no alcohol/controlled substance use, no alcohol/controlled substance possession, random testing, remain law-abiding, take medications in the prescribed dosage and frequency, follow all recommendations of recently completed chemical dependency assessment including inpatient treatment, individual therapy, obtain permission from agent before leaving the state, follow all state and federal criminal laws, contact probation agent within 72 hours if charged with a new crime; are in contact with law enforcement; if change address, employment, or telephone number, cooperate with search of person, residence, vehicle, workplace, property, etc. by probation officer, sign releases of information as directed, don’t use/possess firearms, ammunition, or explosives. Two separate charges of possession of drug paraphernalia-use prohibited, were both dismissed.

Kaiya A. Yancey, 20, of Fairmont was convicted of give peace officer false name/birthdate/ID card; fined $185, sentenced to jail 90 days, stayed 90 days for one year, one year unsupervised probation, no same or similar. Also convicted of speeding; fined $140. Also convicted of driving without a valid drivers license for vehicle class or type; fined $100.

John A. Ausborn, 58, of Garner, Iowa, was convicted of issue dishonored check-offense; fined $114.07, restitution $114.07, sentenced to jail 30 days, stayed 30 days for one year, one year unsupervised probation, pay restitution, no same or similar.

Juan Hurtado-Sanchez, 58, of Madelia was convicted of driving after cancellation-inimical to public safety; fined $385, sentenced to jail 365 days, stayed 365 days for two years, two years unsupervised probation, no same or similar.
