Failure to wear seat belt while in a motor vehicle — Brian R. Petersen, 46, of Pocahontas, Iowa; Christina L. Reese, 41, of Pocahontas, Iowa; Robert J. Van Every, 43, of Fort Dodge, Iowa; each fined $110.

Hands free law-initiate, compose, retrieve, send or read electronic message — Justin R. Opatrny, 21, of Cochranton, Pa.; fined $135.

Wireless communications device-engage in cellular phone or video call — Jody L. Hansen, 62, of Jackson; fined $135.

Window tint violation-less than 50 percent light transmittance — Travis D. Meyer, 39, of Magnolia; Carter L. Van Dyke, 22, of Chandler; each fined $135.

Driving after cancellation — Zogbo M. Mulbah, 49, of New Brighton; fined $285.

Samuel J. Stone, 37, of Fairmont was convicted of driving while impaired-refuse to submit to chemical test; fined $110, sentenced to jail 348 days, credit for time served 200 days, may work STS while in custody. Additional charges of failure to keep to the right, and failure to stop at stop signs or stop lines at entrance to thru highway, were both dismissed.

Daniel L. Desjarlais, 34, of Morton was convicted of marijuana in motor vehicle-less than 1.4 grams; fined $165. Additional charges of speeding, and failure to signal turn, were both dismissed.

Christopher J. Gilmore, 52, of Fairmont was convicted on a felony charge of possession of stolen property; fined $100, commit to Commissioner of Corrections 21 months, give a DNA sample when directed, pay restitution (county attorney to file certificate within 30 days), restitution reserved. Additional felony charges of threats of violence, third-degree controlled substance possession in school/park/public housing zone, and theft-take/use/transfer movable property without consent, and a misdemeanor charge of possession of drug paraphernalia-use or possession, were all dismissed.

Emily J. Walters, 26, of Fairmont was convicted of no proof of motor vehicle insurance; fined $285, sentenced to jail 30 days, stayed 30 days for one year, one year unsupervised probation, no same or similar. Additional charge of failure to wear seat belt while in a motor vehicle was dismissed.
