Gates, 38, of Winnebago was convicted of third-degree driving while impaired-one aggravating factor; fined $865, sentenced to jail 365 days, stayed 335 days for two years, may serve 28 days on EHM with alcohol monitoring, two years supervised probation, sentence to service two days for indeterminate, follow all recommendations of chemical dependency evaluation completed 12/11/19, complete Drive with Care program, attend MADD impact panel, no alcohol/controlled substance use with the exception of prescribed medications, no mood-altering chemicals, random testing, obtain permission from agent before leaving the state, follow all state and federal criminal laws, contact probation agent within 72 hours if charged with a new crime; are in contact with law enforcement; if change address, employment, or telephone number, cooperate with search of person, residence, vehicle, workplace, property, etc. by probation officer, sign releases of information as directed, don’t use or possess firearms, ammunition or explosives if prohibited by law.

Rome C. Thomas Hayes, 36, of New Richland received a statutory stay of adjudication on a felony charge of fifth-degree controlled substance possession-not small amount of marijuana; sentenced to jail 16 days, credit for time served 16 days, three years supervised probation, sentence to service 40 hours for indeterminate, complete chemical assessment within 30 days and follow recommendations, complete mental health screening within 30 days and follow all recommendations, no mood-altering chemicals, random testing, obtain permission from agent before leaving the state, follow all state and federal criminal laws, contact probation agent within 72 hours if been charged with a new crime; are in contact with law enforcement; if change address, employment, or telephone number, cooperate with search of person, residence, vehicle, workplace, property, etc. by probation officer, give a DNA sample when directed, sign releases of information as directed, don’t use or possess firearms, ammunition or explosives. Also received a stay of imposition pursuant to Minnesota statutes on a felony charge of receiving stolen property; fined $1,085, three years supervised probation, complete chemical assessment within 30 days and follow recommendations, complete mental health screening within 60 days and follow all recommendations, no alcohol/controlled substance use with the exception of prescribed medications, random testing, obtain permission from agent before leaving the state, follow all state and federal criminal laws, contact probation agent within 72 hours if been charged with a new crime; are in contact with law enforcement; if change address, employment, or telephone number, cooperate with search of person, residence, vehicle, workplace, property, etc. by probation officer, give a DNA sample when directed, sign releases of information as directed, don’t use or possess firearms, ammunition or explosives, don’t register to vote until discharged from probation and civil rights are fully restored. Additional charge of tamper or enter motor vehicle without owner permission was dismissed.

Dylan L. Jensen, 21, of Wells was convicted of no insurance-owner violation; fined $285. Also convicted of failure to wear seat belt while in a motor vehicle; fined $25.

Driving without a valid driver’s license for vehicle class or type — Oscar E. Patian Ochoa, 25, of Fairmont; fined $185.

No Minnesota driver’s license — Mario Castillo Palacios, 32, of Fairmont; fined $185.
