Texting/use of electronic device while driving — Hayden K. Berhow, 17, of Trimont; Qiana G. Bernal, 19, of Colton, S.D.; each fined $135.

Driving after revocation — Derris A. Ballard, 59, of Welcome; fined $285.

Gabriel C. Hernandez, 23, of Woodbury received a statutory stay of adjudication on a felony charge of fourth-degree controlled substance possession-10 of more doses of hallucinogen; fined $1,085, sentenced to jail 30 days, credit for time served five days, serve as home detention/electronic monitoring if eligible, 10 years supervised probation, complete chemical assessment, follow recommendations of evaluation including care and aftercare, no alcohol/controlled substance use unless prescribed by a physician, no alcohol/controlled substance possession unless prescribed by a physician, random testing, complete a mental health assessment within 60 days of sentencing and follow recommendations of care and aftercare, provide proof of medications to agent, obtain permission from agent before leaving the state, follow all state and federal criminal laws, contact probation agent within 72 hours if you’ve been charged with a new crime; are in contact with law enforcement; if you change address, employment, or telephone number, cooperate with search of your person, residence, vehicle, workplace, property, etc. by your probation officer, sign releases of information as directed, don’t use or possess firearms, ammunition or explosives. Additional charges of possession of small amount of marijuana-no remuneration, and possession of drug paraphernalia, were both dismissed.

Richard D. Pooley, 74, of Fairmont was convicted of failure of driver to yield to pedestrian in crosswalk with no traffic signals; fined $185. Additional charge of reckless driving-drives consciously disregarding a substantial or unjustifiable risk was dismissed.

Irma L. Correa, 29, of St. James was convicted of failure to wear seat belt while in a motor vehicle; fined $110. Also convicted of texting/use of electronic device while driving; fined $50.

Dillon M. Neusch, 19, of Armstrong was convicted of underage alcohol consumption; fined $185. Also convicted of open bottle law-drinking and consumption; fined $100. Also convicted of failure to wear seat belt while in a motor vehicle; fined $25.

Fred Youboty, 31, of Sioux Falls, S.D. was convicted of move over law violation-two lanes in same direction; fined $135. Also convicted of unsafe lane usage on laned highway; fined $50.
