Shoen-Bitting married Sept. 18

TRUMAN — Kayley Jo Shoen and Tyler David Bitting were married Sept. 18, 2021, at The Hidden Acre in Waverly, Iowa, with David Stevens officiating the ceremony.

Parents of the couple are Don and Dawn Shoen of Truman, Eric and Colleen Dunlap of Hannibal, Mo., and the late Jason Bitting.

Maid of honor was Taylor Shoen of Omaha, Neb., sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Katelyn Thurman of Keokuk, Iowa, Madison Bitting of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Brooke Lawson of Hannibal, Mo., all sisters of the groom, Alecia Kimball of Mason City, Iowa, and Lexie Kuehl of Des Moines, Iowa, both friends of the bride.

Flower girl was Payton Thurman of Keokuk, Iowa, niece of the groom.

Best man was Jeff Thurman of Keokuk, Iowa, brother-in-law of the groom. Groomsmen were Derek Shoen of Bismarck, N.D., brother of the bride, Luke Lawson of Hannibal, Mo., brother of the groom, Bailey Hunt of Waverly, Iowa, Eli Riddle of Keokuk, Iowa, and Evan Koonen of Davenport, Iowa, all friends of the groom.

Ring bearer was Jase Thurman of Keokuk, Iowa, nephew of the groom.

Guests were ushered by Connor Bailey of Clear Lake, Iowa, Levi Stockdale of Aplington, Iowa, Griffin O’Connell of Packwood, Iowa, and Cedric Dobbins of Indianola, Iowa, all friends of the groom.

Wedding music was provided by Lori Schock, organist, and Kris Tillotson, vocalist.

Following the service, a reception was held at The Hidden Acre in Waverly, Iowa.

The couple resides in Peosta, Iowa.
